Durand is our eCommerce (website) leader here at Evo, and his bike of choice for the 2018/19 season is the Trek Remedy 9.8. A fun allround trail bike that is perfect for all sorts of riding conditions around the upper north island.

2019 Trek Remedy 9.8
I wanted a fun bike that I can ride anywhere. From Rotorua shuttles to all day trail rides.
Just how playful the bike feels. The short stays, smaller 27.5" wheels and modern geometry numbers make it an easy bike to throw around on the trail.
Maxxis Minion DHF & Minion DHR II tyres, Ergon Enduro saddle, Ergon GE1 Grips, Marsh Guard and Shimano XT trail pedals. I'm also running a shorter handlebar at only 760mm.
Anywhere really. My favorite spot is the Rotorua Redwoods, but I also spend a bit of time riding singletrack in Taupo. My local hill is Mt Pirongia near Hamilton though.
It's not a race bike, but it handles a wide variety of terrain well. Super fun on technical terrain, roudy lines and in the air.
